The mission of the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell at Vassar Brothers Medical Center-Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship Program is to provide a thorough and varied Hospice and Palliative Medicine education and curriculum to the fellows. The Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship Program will supply the fellows with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to successfully enter independent Hospice and Palliative Medicine practice. The program seeks to train physicians in Hospice and Palliative Medicine by providing diverse clinical experiences to become astute clinicians and strong leaders in the specialized field of Hospice and Palliative Medicine. Additionally, the goal of the fellowship program is to deliver the highest quality training experience and to prepare fellows with the diagnostic, procedural, and leadership skills necessary to effectively provide safe, high-quality care to all patients regardless of differences in race, disability, ethnicity, religious beliefs, and any other differences.
