Rheumatology Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Post Graduate Training
Letter from the Program Director
It is my great pleasure to introduce the Rheumatology Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Post Graduate Training at Nuvance Health. This innovative postgraduate training program is designed to provide Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants with advanced, specialty-specific education and clinical experience in the care of patients with complex rheumatologic conditions.
Rheumatology continues to evolve rapidly and as the national shortage of rheumatologists intensifies, there is increased demand for highly trained clinicians who can deliver exceptional, evidence-based care. Our training program was created to bridge the gap between graduate education and independent clinical practice by offering a 12-month structured curriculum that integrates didactic learning and mentored clinical practice. During this time, the advanced practice providers will work alongside our experienced rheumatologists: Dr. Alla Rudinksaya, Dr. Sana Chaudhary, Dr. Marcie Wolinksy and Dr. Jesse Dabit. Our goal is to foster confidence, competence, and leadership in advanced practice providers entering the field of rheumatology.
Graduates of the program will be well-prepared to assume roles in academic medical centers, specialty practices, and community settings. More importantly, they will be equipped to meet the growing needs of patients living with chronic rheumatologic conditions and to contribute meaningfully to the advancement of our specialty.
We are excited to welcome the next generation of rheumatology advanced practice providers and to continue strengthening the quality of care we provide through advanced training and professional development.
A special thank you to the generosity of Patty and Tony Rizzo who established the endowment fund in rheumatology and enabled this program.
Sincerely,
Alla Rudinskaya, MD
