Leah Rosoph, MD (Class of 2025)

“I look back on residency at Norwalk with immense gratitude. It was a place that challenged me, supported me, and helped me grow into the physician I am today. I gained a strong clinical foundation through caring for a diverse patient population and learning to navigate both everyday and complex medical decisions with increasing independence. What made Norwalk especially memorable, though, was the people. My co-residents made even the busiest days more manageable and became lifelong friends. The faculty created an environment that was approachable, encouraging, and invested in helping us develop our own clinical interests and career paths. The training and mentorship I received at Norwalk gave me the confidence to pursue Endocrinology fellowship at Johns Hopkins. I am so grateful for the patients, faculty, staff, and friends who made my residency experience meaningful, and I feel very fortunate to be a Norwalk graduate” -Leah Rosoph, MD

Eugeniu Stratulat, MD (Class of 2025)

“It was a privilege to train at Norwalk Hospital. My time there was about much more than becoming a better physician—it was about becoming a better teacher, mentor, and teammate. The close-knit and supportive environment made me feel like I was part of a community, and the people I worked with left a lasting impression on me. Norwalk gave me the opportunity to learn from others while also encouraging me to teach and mentor those around me. That experience sparked my passion for medical education. I am now an Associate Program Director at the FSU Cape Coral Internal Medicine Residency Program, and I’m incredibly grateful to Norwalk for helping shape the physician and educator I am today.” -Eugeniu Stratulat, MD

Brian Magovney,MD (Class of 2024)

“I graduated from Norwalk Hospital’s Internal Medicine Residency in 2024 and was fortunate to stay on for an additional year as Chief Resident. I am now a hospitalist attending at Highland Hospital, part of the University of Rochester Internal Medicine program, where I was recently promoted to Assistant Director of Medical Education for highland hospital. Norwalk gave me the clinical foundation, confidence, and teaching skills to be successful from my first day as an attending. Just as importantly, the mentorship and support I received were second to none. The program helped shape my passion for medical education, which has continued into my career, including being named a finalist for the University of Rochester IM Arthur Bauman Teaching Award in my first year.” -Brian Magovney,MD

Wan Ying Tan, MD (Class of 2023)

“I am a proud graduate of the Norwalk Internal Medicine Residency Program. My training at Norwalk prepared me exceptionally well for clinical practice while giving me the meaningful experience of truly serving a community. The program’s strong academic environment and university affiliations provided abundant opportunities for professional and scholarly growth. This unique balance of community-based training and academic medicine gave me a well-rounded foundation and empowered me to pursue the career I envisioned in academic hematology-oncology at the University of Connecticut. Beyond the clinical and academic training, what made Norwalk especially meaningful was its warm, welcoming, and supportive culture. I continue to cherish the lifelong friendships and memories I made there and remain deeply grateful to the faculty and community. I feel incredibly fortunate to have trained at Norwalk—and I would choose Norwalk all over again!” -Wan Ying Tan, MD
