Reason for choosing Danbury: Despite virtual interviews, I felt immediately at home when interacting with residents and faculty from Danbury. The open-armed kindness I felt was genuine and has consistently held true since starting intern year. This program is small with strong community roots and excellent access to resources including a wide variety of research, DaVinci robotic training, and high fidelity simulation. I also liked the balance of layered support and graduated autonomy given starting intern year.
